COD4 is one of those games that has been waiting for me to finish it ( I have many )

Tuesday night I decided I'd attempt to get past the dreaded section that defeated me back in April. I think it was “The Heat”. Like an idiot I had tried to get to the “LZ” about 40 times and kept getting killed. I then realised on Tuesday that I could command air strikes I hadn’t noticed the little plane. I did it in 3 tries.

Now I’m stuck on the level in the bunkers before you get the abort codes.
I can work my way through the first section and get to where you have to go either right or left, then it all goes Pete Tong .... I have just 3 grenades.

Anyone know a good way of clearing the passeges to get to the launch control? ...... Tom...... heeeelp

Cant remember, most of the time i found with this game, is that there is'nt really a right or wrong way, you acurate shooting and your sorted. even on the big wheel stage, I caompleted first time, you just need to be very acurate, headshot tastic. Sorry, I no this does'nt help.

Is that after the Big Wheel ?

Yeah, this is in the middle of "Act III", the nukes have gone up and are headed for the U.S.
You've decended into the bunkers and have to clear a way through to Launch control. H.Q then provide you with the launch codes to stop the nukes.
I have 7 minutes but I keep getting shot. I'm on "Hardened" not "Veteran"....

I think I went right, and worked my way up that way. I did'nt use the center route. I think I am thinking about the right bit.

Thats right, I'm going to the right in the first section and then it opens up before going into a second bit. Captn. Price shouts that they've started a countdown and I then try to work my way left or right ( Iv'e tried both, ahead is blocked ) I just find too much resistance and I get shot from the left whilst trying to shoot right and visa versa. 2 flash bangs & 1 grenade just aint enough. Price & your collegues don't seem to be much help either.

I did it on vet and that was the bit i spent the longest doing,its fucking hard as nails.

At last, I finished this last night. After many attempts to clear the tunnels to get to the launch control centre, I hadn't enough time anyway, so I re-started the entire level.

Tom, how did you get the "Clear the ship in 20 seconds" acheivement m8??

Did anyone get the "Mile High Club" acheivement in the Jumbo? It looks very, very hard indeed

The airoplane mission in arcade mode is good.

If you didn't get it in the full game m8, its after the credits. There's an acheivement / trophy for it.

I got it on PS3, no acheivements for me.

I dunno magz,The jumbo level is rediculousely hard,Im never gona do it so i dont even try anymore.I must have tried it like 70 times lol

Well this game has been out now for 2 years and i finally finished it on The PS3 . What an excellent single player game. really enjoyed it The mission on the run up to putting in the Abort codes nearly sent me fucking crazy. I can see why this game still commands such a high second hand value . The only single player FPS i consider to be better than this game is HALF LIFE 2 . Cod 4 has been an excellent game that i really enjoyed Roll on Modern Warfare 2 it will be amazing.

I nearly got yet another copy last week, too late now but i look forward to the next one , co op looks brill and the online will be the usual mayhem frag fest
